Drop in, stay and play at Council’s long day care centre in Croydon at our early learning open day. Bookings are not required at this event, so simply come in for a tour and a chat while your child explores the centre.

About Maroondah Occasional Care

Maroondah Occasional Care is Council’s Early Years Learning Service and a funded long day care centre.

The service provides a flexible and high quality range of child care options for children from 6 weeks of age (following their first immunisation) up to 5 years old. This offers families the opportunity to attend work, appointments, or to support their child's socialisation in a mixed aged setting.

Our highly qualified staff offer a program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards to ensure that it is stimulating, developmentally appropriate and designed to respond to your child’s individual interests and needs. Maroondah Occasional Care also highlights the value of community connections, nature play and the importance of creating a sustainable environment.

Families provide food (and nappies) for their child which enables choice and allows us to offer affordable care.

Care is available Monday to Friday from Wednesday 28 January 2026 until mid-December 2026, including during autumn, winter and spring school holidays. Bookings are renewed annually or by calling to check availability.
