About the presenter

Deirdre Brandner is a leading Australian child and adolescent psychologist with over 30 years experience supporting children and families. A former primary school teacher and mum of three adult children, Deirdre combines professional expertise with real-life understanding. She is also the best-selling author of the Bear Learns picture book series, which helps children recognise and manage big feelings. Regularly featured on programs such as Sunrise and ABC News Breakfast, Deirdre is known for her practical, compassionate strategies that empower parents and strengthen family connection.
