Maroondah Symphony Orchestra Incorporated

A Community Choral-Orchestral Collaboration. MSO will present Handel’s Messiah as a one-off large-scale choral-orchestral performance for public in November 2026 at George Wood Performing Arts Centre. This project will bring together a community orchestra, choir, four guest solo singers and a specialist trumpeter.

Supported by Swinburne University and the Local Jobs Program, THRIVE aims to reduce barriers for women, strengthen workplace culture, and build a resilient local economy.

Migrant Information Centre (Eastern Melbourne)

Maroondah Burmese Social Enterprise Pathways will engage 50 newly arrived Burmese women in Maroondah to co-design pathways for social and economic participation. Through community consultation and partnerships with SisterWorks, Parks Victoria, and the Business Council, Year 1 will identify one preferred enterprise model (sewing, cooking, or gardening) for pilot implementation in Year 2.

Open to all ages and abilities, it invites locals to explore what culture means to them. Collaborating with Ringwood Art Society and culminating in a public exhibition at the Central Ringwood Community Centre hall, the project fosters connection, expression and community pride in Maroondah.
Claire Bridge Claire Bridge's exhibition The Water Carriers: Hybrid Futures, scheduled for the Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery, explores connections between women, water and the environment through a new series of sculptures and installations.
Community Music and Performances Three public concerts at Maroondah Federation Estate, including a large swing band, jazz with vocalist and a classical ensemble, to promote social inclusion and wellbeing.
Dr Ajay Castelino Melodies and Memories is a 15-week program offering weekly 45-minute music therapy sessions for people with dementia and their carers living in Maroondah.

The Singing Sandwich Project delivers six weeks of lunchtime singing sessions at Realm, for approximately 120 people working in central Ringwood, working-from-home, commuting, shopping, or looking for an uplifting mood boost. For those who know they can sing, and those who think they can't.

Lipscombe Park Kindergarten

Mural by First Peoples artist Simone Thomson (Wurundjeri / YortaYorta) to be installed on the wall overlooking the kinder's kitchen garden. Artist will consult with the kinder community in the mural design and the garden and mural will be open to the broader community to enjoy outside kinder hours.

Maroondah Symphony Orchestra

Next Generation Mentorship and Development Programis a new program targeting young school and university graduates in the community who specialise in double bass and conducting. This program will provide an instrument, mentoring, experience and the opportunity to play or conduct in a symphonic orchestra.

Mel Jeffery & Eddie Andrews

Creative expression through a series of public zine making workshops for 36 individuals. Participants from cohorts who are often misjudged based on assumptions and stereotypes (target groups include LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse and older people) will explore their identity and share their story via the accessible art of zine making. Zines will be collated and shared as community resource.

Rhys Cousins and Emma X Zhang

CTRL is an exhibition and public program at MFEG exploring the profound impact of technology on our lives. Funded public program component includes two participatory workshops for up to 40 people in new approaches to light painting and landscape led by the artists.

Ringwood and District Historical Society

Creation and printing of Artists of Ringwood District and Their Art, a book featuring the artwork and stories of Maroondah-based artists throughout history, since the early 1900s.

YourDNA Creative Arts
