About Street trading and activities

The placement of temporary real estate agent signs, A-boards, requires a permit. 

A maximum of two signs per property may be placed on the nature strip at, or near a property for which the agent is acting. 

No sign may be placed on a: 

  • footpath
  • road
  • roundabout
  • traffic island
  • other location where it creates a hazard to pedestrian or vehicle safety.

Step 2.Prepare required documentation:

Public Liability (Certificate of Currency) 

  • noting Maroondah City Council as interested party, and 
  • see form for level of coverage required.

Step 3.Submit your application, all required documentation and applicable fee:

Step 4.If approved, you will receive your permit by mail within 10 business days of your application being received.

Real estate signage permits expire on 30 September each year.
