Council will be undertaking significant infrastructure renewal works at Aquanation from Thursday 1 October 2026, with staged reopenings commencing from February 2027.

Changes to access and programs

During this time, there will be no access to the Aquanation pools, spa, sauna, steam room and waterslide.

The Health Club and Group Fitness studios will remain open and operate as usual.

About the works

Infrastructure renewal works ensure the continued enjoyment of Aquanation’s aquatic facilities for future generations.

Works will include:

• Refurbishment of pool balance tanks and associated aquatic infrastructure
• Repairs to pool gutters and drainage systems
• Renewal of waterproofing and protective coatings in key aquatic infrastructure
• Upgrades to pool water treatment and filtration systems
• Electrical safety and compliance upgrades
• Mechanical and ventilation system maintenance and improvements
• Renewal of critical pool operation equipment
