Evans Drive basketball court works

Council is proposing to undertake works to install a half basketball court at The Range Estate Wetlands area, adjacent to Evans Drive in Croydon.

Funding has been made available for this project to address the lack of local sports court availability in the area.

The project is proposed to include:

  • Half basketball court
  • Adjoining concreate pathway to connect the court, existing pathway and seating area
  • Formalisation of existing crushed rock track, to create a smooth and accessible pathway

These improvements will promote physical activity and social interactions for locals as well as enhance accessibility, making it easier for everyone to navigate and enjoy the surrounding area.

A heavy-duty fibreglass mesh backboard and special court surface will be installed, significantly reducing any increased noise levels of the new court area.
