Council was successful in obtaining funding to undertake lighting upgrades to all seven courts at Heathmont Tennis Club in Heathmont Reserve. Works were completed in April 2026.
The works will enhance safety and playing experience, enable year-round tennis participation without light limitations, and create a sustainable future for the venue.
The lighting is designed to meet the Australian Standards for Tennis Lighting and illuminates the courts to approximately 350 lux using LED lamp heads. Compliance with the Australian Standards for Sporting Lighting ensures that lighting is concentrated on the courts and that any spill light is controlled and minimised.
Also included in the program of works was court fencing upgrades and the installation of a new court irrigation system.
This project is funded by Council in partnership with the Victorian Government.
