Revitalisation works at Jumping Creek, Warranwood.jpg

Revitalisation works are planned for Jumping Creek.

The section of Jumping Creek from Berrywood Walk to Kelly Court, as highlighted blue in the below figure, has been identified for improvement works including various access upgrades, water quality and revegetation works along the length of the reserve.

As part of the initial investigative works for the preparation of a Cultural Heritage Management Plan in conjunction with the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Aboriginal Corporation, Council undertook weed management and access clearing along the creek channel. This also allowed for subsequent survey and flora data collection works to inform the design of the area.

Following the investigative and data collection works, Council shared draft plans with the community in 2023 to gather community feedback on the different elements presented in the plan and help inform the design of future works in the area.

Detailed design works are continuing to progress with careful consideration of balancing the limited space available and steep grades on site with the presence of significant existing vegetation. Preserving this important vegetation is a key priority, but it requires the design team to carefully plan around these areas while navigating the corridors’ constrained layout.

Further updates will be provided in early 2026 once the design phase is complete.
