Croydon Memorial Pool is an outdoor facility and seasonally opens during the warmer months.

Water safety

Croydon Memorial Pool is an accredited Watch Around Water facility. There are guidelines that must be followed while visiting:

• Children under 5 must be constantly supervised and remain within arms reach. If the child is in the water, the parent/guardian must be in the water too.
• Children under 10 must be accompanied into the facility and constantly supervised by a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian must have a clear view of the child at all times.
• Unsupervised children (of any age) will be removed from the water if the lifeguard is concerned for their safety.

Visit Croydon Memorial Pool and enjoy our outdoor swimming pools during the warmer months. The lush green lawns and a kiosk offering a variety of food and drink items make it a perfect place for the family on a summer's day.

We have 3 outdoor pools:

• 8-lane, 50-metre pool - perfect for lap swimming and general leisure
• Leisure pool with shade covering, warmer water and shallower depths - great for recreational swimming
• Toddler pool with shade covering, warmer water and shallow depths - perfect for toddlers needing shallow play 

Croydon Memorial Pool has lockers available for use free-of-charge. 

Lap swimming

Lap swimming in our largest pool is a great way to improve fitness, strength and endurance, in a low-impact environment. Plus, it can also be an incredibly relaxing way to exercise!

Lap lane etiquette:

• Always swim to the left, to allow others to pass
• Always enter the water feet first
• Always start, turn and stop at the wall
• Be aware of the lap lane speeds and swim in an appropriate lane
• Be mindful of other swimmers sharing your lane
• Please follow staff direction – if asked to move to another lane, please do not be offended
• Return equipment to its storage area
• Select a lane based on your ability and the stroke you intend to swim

Watch Around Water policy

• Children under the age of five must be within arm’s reach of a responsible adult at all times while in the centre
• Children under the age of ten must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult and actively supervised at all times (within line of sight)
• All unsupervised children will be removed from the water

Croydon Memorial Pool offers fun, low-impact water fitness for all age groups and fitness levels. Build strength, tone and cardiovascular fitness, within the gentle, no/low-impact nature of water all at your own pace.

Conditions for group fitness bookings

• Bookings for classes will open 73 hours before the class start time for Wellness Plus members and 49 hours before class start time for all other members and guests.
• For safety reasons and courtesy to participants, patrons are not permitted to enter a class once it has started. You must be in the water prior to the safety message being delivered by the instructor to participate in the class. 
• All aqua classes commence five minutes after the start time listed on timetables in the Technogym app and the Client portal.
• Casual users must pay at the time of booking. Multi visit passes can be used at the time of booking.
• We request that all class bookings are cancelled at least 45 minutes prior to the class starting to allow other participants to book.

Attending classes

• For safety reasons and courtesy to participants, patrons are not permitted to enter a class once it has started.
• All aqua class participants must be poolside five minutes before class starts.
• Participants must be aged 12 years and over to attend group fitness classes. 

• Teen Fitness Plus and Teen Lifestyle members aged 12-15 can participate in all group fitness classes with the exception of Warm Water Aqua. Casual teen users aged 12-15 can participate in all group fitness class with a parent or guardian with the exception of Warm Water Aqua.

Carnivals

Our heated outdoor swimming pools are perfect for school swimming carnivals. With shade sails and ample stepped seating for unrestricted views of the pool, we'll ensure your carnival is a fun and successful day. 

Schools are welcome and special rates apply. School swimming carnivals can be booked throughout February and March only.
