Maroondah City Council Children and Family Services

Maroondah City Council offers a wide range of services to support families and children in our community:

  • Maternal and Child Health
    Qualified nurses provide information, advice, and support on parenting, emotional health, and wellness checks for parents, as well as assessments for children from birth to school age. To make an appointment, call 9294 5777 during weekdays.

  • Kindergarten
    Over sixty funded kindergarten programs are available throughout Maroondah, providing quality early childhood education that aids in the transition to school and fosters a love of learning.

  • Kindergarten Outreach Program
    Maroondah City Council's outreach program assists culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families in enrolling and participating in kindergarten. Bilingual staff and interpreters are available to support families speaking Hakha Chin, Falam Chin, and Burmese.

  • Maroondah Education and Care
    Formally known as Maroondah Occasional Care, Maroondah Education and Care is Council’s Early Years Learning Service and a funded long day care centre offering flexible child care for infants to pre-school aged children. Maroondah Education and Care provides a secure and stimulating play environment. Permanent and casual/emergency care bookings are available. Contact (03) 9298 4673 for more information.

  • Sessions for parents, carers and professionals

    Maroondah City Council offers programs, workshops and information sessions for parents, grandparents, carers, educators and professionals.
