Bedford Road Shopping Centre Upgrade Works - Stage 1

As part of Council’s Shopping Centres Capital Works Program, funding has been made available to undertake Stage 1 of the Bedford Road Shopping Centre Streetscape Improvement Works, which will focus on the eastern end of the shopping centre, between no.99 and 117 Bedford Road.

About the project

The works include:

• widening the footpath along the frontage of this section of the shopping centre
• installation of new garden beds, hoop edging, trees and shrubs
• installation of additional seating and bike racks
• upgrade of the disabled parking spaces
• new carpark line marking.

Works are scheduled to commence works on 1 July 2025 anticipated to be complete in six weeks. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm.
