Fyfe Avenue footpath works

As part of Council’s commitment to improve footpaths within Maroondah, funding was made available in the 2025/26 financial year for the construction of footpaths in Fyfe Avenue, Ringwood.

About the project

Works were completed in February 2026 and included:

  • Construction of a new concrete footpath on the south-western side of Fyfe Avenue connecting into Berea Court
  • Construction of a new pedestrian crossing point on the corner of Fyfe Avenue and Mullum Mullum Road
  • Tree removal at 10 Fyfe Avenue to allow for compliant space for footpath and overhead powerline clearance
  • Reconstruction of 2 vehicle crossings along the extent of works
  • Minor drainage repairs

Council’s Tree Management team will assess the area for new street tree planting opportunities in the future where appropriate.
