About the Committee
The Maroondah Environment Advisory Committee is a collaborative partnership between Council and key community stakeholders to inform and advise Council on environmental sustainability issues.
Committee goals will include:
- advance the environmental sustainability ‘Key Directions’ of Maroondah 2040
- advise Council on the implementation and review of the Maroondah Sustainability Strategy and related strategies and actions
- involve others in sustainability initiatives.
The Committee will look at:
- assisting in the review of Council’s
- assisting in the review of Councils
- assisting in the implementation of Councils
- helping with the implementation of actions from the
- providing feedback on Council’s capital works program
- reviewing the existing suite of environmental strategies of Council.
Applications
We are currently seeking two community representatives with wide ranging backgrounds and expertise in the field of environmental sustainability.
Please note: to apply for this position you must have a connection to Maroondah. For example: a resident, student or business owner.
Once appointed, the Committee will look at:
New members will join the group until November 2024, starting March 2022.
