The Maroondah Environment Advisory Committee is a collaborative partnership between Council and key community stakeholders to inform and advise Council on environmental sustainability issues.

The committee is one of six Council advisory committees that provide advice and input on social issues and support the work of Council in working towards the community vision outlined in Maroondah 2050 – Our future together.

Role of the committee

Committee goals will include:

  • advance the environmental sustainability ‘Key Directions’ of Maroondah 2050
  • advise Council on the implementation and review of the Maroondah Sustainability Strategy and related strategies and actions
  • involve others in sustainability initiatives.

The Maroondah Environment Advisory Committee meet 4 times per year, in the evening at Realm in Ringwood.
