Our Achievements

The 2024/25 financial year saw Council continue to follow the roadmap outlined in the Maroondah 2040 Community Vision for the benefit of current and future generations.

Some of the major achievements during the 2024/25 financial year included:

progressing development of the Croydon Community Wellbeing Precinct
progressing construction of the Ringwood Activity Centre Carpark
working in partnership to strengthen the Bayswater Business Precinct
completing the Karralyka foyer space extension
working in partnership to secure funding for stage 2 of the Reimagining Tarralla Creek project
implementing the Waste, Litter and Resource Recovery Strategy 2020-2030, and the Sustainability Strategy 2022-2031
supporting works for the removal of three railway crossings
delivering local traffic management improvements
developing a new Croydon Activity Centre Structure Plan
redeveloping a range of new play spaces
undertaking flood mitigation works
providing community grant funding to local groups and community organisations
adopting the new Maroondah 2050 - Our future together Community Vision
extensively engaging with the Maroondah community to help shape Council strategies and plans
working with regional partners to ensure we get the best outcomes for the Maroondah community.
