Training the Eye is an exhibition and public talks at Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery displaying the artist’s painting practice, and exploring his background in art therapy.

Bushwahzee

Adventure Before Dementia is a staged reading of a new musical exploring positive ageing. Featuring folk musicians and actors, to be staged at Maroondah Federation Estate.

Funding allocation: $3,250

Hsin Lin

Blossoms of Life - The Eucalyptus Flower For Everyone is a collaborative public art project between visual artist Hsin Lin and poet Lauren Hancock. The mural and poem will be installed at Ringwood Lake Park.

Funding allocation: $5,000

Jazz Notes

Maroondah Jazz: sharing the joy of live jazz is a free, public event at Ringwood Town Square featuring a professional band and a local youth band covering different styles of jazz.

Funding allocation: $2,345

Ringwood Highland Pipe Band

Drum Corp Upskilling is a program to refine and extend the skills of the whole volunteer band through the purchase of two bass drum harnesses and engagement of an expert drum tutor.

Funding allocation: $2,250

Yarrunga Community Centre

25th Birthday Metal Art Sculpture is a metal sculpture designed in partnership with the community to be installed at the gardens at Yarrunga, celebrating 25 years in the community.

Funding allocation: $4,500

YourDNA Creative Arts – Music in Motion

The Sound Tree is a project to develop and create an accessible musical instrument that can be used by a group of artists and students considered to have disabilities. Funds support purchase of instruments, maintenance costs, and the establishment of a lending system.
