Meals on Wheels supports Maroondah residents who may find it difficult to prepare meals, are at risk of poor nutrition, or are socially isolated.
We provide nutritious, home-style meals prepared by qualified chefs at Karralyka and delivered to your door by friendly and caring volunteers.
Meals on Wheels is more than a meal. Regular deliveries provide social contact and a wellbeing check to help you stay independent and connected.
To access Meals on Wheels you need a referral from My Aged Care. Access is based on your assessed needs.
Fresh meals are delivered Monday to Friday between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
You can also order frozen meals to keep in the freezer for weekends and or other times you need them.
If you do not collect a scheduled meal, our team will follow up. If needed, we will contact your nominated emergency contact to check that you are safe and well.
We cater for a range of dietary requirements:
If you have other dietary requirements or allergies, contact the Meals on Wheels team to discuss your needs.
To change or cancel a meal, contact the Meals on Wheels team at least two business days before your delivery.
