Improvement works at Burnt Bridge Shopping Centre are underway and due for completion in mid-2026.

About the project

The works include:

  • Construction of pedestrian connection from Beaufort Road, including formal pedestrian zebra crossing linking at the Coles shopfront.
  • Centralised pedestrian zebra crossing connection between the Croydon Bakers Dozen and Coles shopfronts.
  • Carparking alterations to offset parking space loss, retaining the same quantity of carparking spaces.
  • Construction of new traffic island separators with enhanced garden bed planting.
  • Footpath widening along the Coles western frontage to facilitate improved pedestrian connectivity.
  • Construction of eleven raised tree pits within the carpark modules to improve streetscape amenity and provide future tree canopy cover.
  • Updated linemarking of the parking modules, including accessible parking bays.
  • Removal of two trees with poor life expectancy, as advised by Council arborists following tree assessment.
  • Application of a new asphalt surface and linemarking.

These works will address the deteriorated road condition and pedestrian connectivity within the carpark.
