As part of Council’s ongoing commitment to footpath construction and improvement work, funding was made available for the construction of a footpath in Kubis Drive and Werac Drive, Ringwood North.

About the project

Completed works include:

  • Construction of a new concrete footpath on the on the southern side of Kubis Drive between Pamela Place and Glenvale Road
  • Construction of a new concrete footpath on the on the eastern side of Werac Drive between Kubis Drive and Manuela Terrace
  • Construction of associated kerb ramp crossings at the June Square, Debbie Place, Pamela Place and Werac Drive intersections
  • Alterations to kerb and asphalt to support the footpath construction between no. 32 and no. 38 Werac Drive
  • Removal of eight street trees outside properties no. 38 Werac Drive, no. 4, 6, 18, 38, 42 Kubis Drive and two outside no. 106 Glenvale Road
  • Reconstruction of several vehicle crossings along the extent of works 

Council’s tree planting team will assess the project for potential new street tree planting in the future.
