Wieland Reserve Park playspace renewal

As part of Council’s 25/26 Capital Works Playspace Improvement program, Council completed playspace renewal works at Wieland Reserve in Heathmont. The new playspace provides structural play elements that promote physical activity, social interactions, problem solving, safe risk-taking, lead and follow, inclusion, cooperation and sharing.

About the project

  • Single play units with two slides
  • Monkey bars, scramble net climber and belt bridge
  • Four seat rocker standalone element
  • One multi-bay swing unit including swings for different ages and abilities
  • Activity panels and play items

Also included in the works is a mesh fence constructed along Dresden Avenue. This will reduce the risk of children exiting onto the road unaccompanied.
