What is Solar Savers?
The Solar Savers program supports Maroondah homeowners, renters, and businesses who would like to install rooftop solar and battery storage.
The program can help you:
- access technical guidance and advice
- explore available rebates, funding options and financial support
- connect with trusted installers with quality products and workmanship (selected through a public tender process).

Information session
The Solar Savers team welcomed Specialized Solar & Electrical at a session where independent information was provided about how solar systems work, what properties are most suited and how the system can benefit you. Current government incentives that are reducing the upfront cost of installation for all appliances, were also explained.

Would solar suit my household?
Installing rooftop solar can be a great way to reduce your electricity costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
Households most likely to benefit from installing solar include households that:
- Use their appliances during the day
- Work from home
- Spend 3-4 days at home each week
- Care for someone in need.
The program has recently expanded to include new, energy efficient ways to heat and cool homes, available to all households in Maroondah:
- energy efficient split systems for heating and cooling
- heat pump hot water systems.
