John Frost Stadium sits within Cheong Park, a well‑loved community sporting precinct featuring a large oval for football, cricket, outdoor netball, basketball and a family‑friendly playground. The stadium supports a wide range of local activity and is designed to be easy to navigate, welcoming and accessible for all visitors.

About the stadium

John Frost Stadium is home to the SCYC Scorpions Basketball Club and is regularly used by several community groups including:

• U3A Croydon – University of the Third Age
• South Croydon Flames Netball Club
• Cheong Park Gem and Mineral Club

The venue is an indoor, multi‑purpose sports facility available for sport, training and dancing sessions. The stadium can fit up to 350 people and its spacious basketball court is suitable for:

• Training sessions
• Practice games
• Approved indoor sporting activities.

Parties are not permitted at John Frost Stadium. For these types of events, please consider other community halls.
