Afghan Henna

two hands resting together, painted with intricate henna

Afghan Henna by Humaira Fayazi

Learn how to paint beautiful flowers with henna, a method often used by Afghan women for special occasions.

This workshop led by artist Humaira Fayazi draws upon the history of Henna as a strong part of Afghan history and culture, a symbol of love, and happiness.

Create temporary henna designs on your hands allowing your cherished moments and bliss to radiate outwards.

The workshop is part of the public program for the current exhibition Our Plants, Our Heritage at Maroondah Federation Estate Gallery and is supported by Maroondah City Council.

For other workshops in the series, see Our Plants, Our Heritage.
