Theme

Colours of Culture is all about celebrating the rich diversity, stories and traditions that make up our community. Through art, express what culture means to you - your heritage, identity, community, or a meaningful connection to place or tradition. Whether it's your own cultural background, a tradition you admire, or something that inspires you—there’s no right or wrong, just your unique perspective!

What you can create

Need inspiration? Your artwork might feature:

• A cultural festival or tradition.
• Family heritage through patterns or symbols.
• A meaningful landscape or place.
• A portrait of someone who represents cultural identity.
• Cultural fusion or blended traditions.
• Music, food, dance or clothing.
• An abstract that explores belonging and identity.
• A personal story or memory linked to culture.

Entry details

• Artwork medium: Any medium that is lightweight and suitable for hanging, i.e. painting, drawing, collage, mixed media
• Entry fee: $15
• Artworks due: 20 October
• Prizes to be won!
