Tasa joined Council following a Countback by the Victorian Electoral Commission in July 2018. She enjoys working with her fellow Councillors to represent the Wyreena Ward.

Tasa lives locally with her husband and their four children, who attend local primary schools, and she participates in a range of activities with local school and community groups. I’m happy to see works are continuing on the upgrade of Lincoln Road, Croydon. Council received funding from the Federal Roads to Recovery program to reconstruct and upgrade Lincoln Road, between Dorset Road and Hull Road.

The works are being undertaken in two stages, with Stage 1, between Hull Road and Dornoch Court, already complete.

Stage 2 of the project will begin in early 2020 and will make a huge difference for the community. It will improve the road condition as well as provide new bike lanes and footpaths, new street lighting, and improvements to the service road access points.

A big focus of the project is to protect existing vegetation areas as well as allowing for new landscaping areas and water sensitive urban design along the road. The Lincoln Road reserve has more than 4500 trees, with more than 50 different species, so it is important that we protect and enhance the spaces.
