Food and Play

Free information sessions for parents and carers to learn about feeding, nutrition and active play to support their child’s healthy development.

Sessions are facilitated by Council's Maternal and Child Health team and provide an opportunity to:

  • learn practical tips and ideas
  • ask questions
  • share experiences with other parents and carers
  • connect with families whose children are at a similar stage of development.

The information provided is based on the Deakin University INFANT program (INfant Feeding, Active play and Nutrition), developed by child health experts and health professionals from Deakin University's Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition.
