Ruthven Way road sealing works

As part of our ongoing commitment to improve roads and pedestrian networks across Maroondah, Council will undertake road sealing works at Ruthven Way between Velma Grove and Angus Avenue.

Works will commence in September 2026, subject to weather and contractor availability.

About the works

Works will include:

Replacing the current crushed rock road surface with asphalt.
Installation of an asphalt spoon drain to convey water.
Installation of underground stormwater drainage pits and pipes.
Reconstruction of vehicle crossovers to match the new road surface.

Vehicle crossing reconstruction

Vehicle crossovers in the street will be reconstructed to match the new road levels. Due to the severity of the grades, some vehicle crossovers may need to be reconstructed within private property extents. This will be communicated to affected residents prior to construction.
