McAlpin Reserve

Facility type:
  • Park
  • Playground
McAlpin Reserve is one of Maroondah's hidden gems - tucked away off Wonga Road in Ringwood North, the reserve is the perfect spot for Sunday picnics, school day playdates and a leisurely walk.

The reserve has a large playground with BBQs and shelter, a pond and walking trails throughout the reserve that connect through to Monterey Bush Park.

Works notice

Upgrades of the western BBQ area at McAlpin Reserve are scheduled to take place in November/December 2022.

The improvement works will include the replacement of the existing shelter with a larger shelter to cover the new accessible double BBQ and picnic table.

The works are expected to begin in late November and are estimated to be completed by the middle of December, subject to weather conditions. The site will be fenced and not available for public use during the construction works.
