Keynote Speaker

Cate McQuillan is the Emmy-award winning Australian co-creator of the much loved animated stories of dirtgirlworld and its live action series, Get Grubby TV. A talented weaver of stories, Cate can tell a story with equal power whether she’s on stage or on screen. By drawing on her love of nature, she helps her audience explore the world, where we belong in it and when and how we can shape it. She is committed to the notion that ideas, words, and actions can influence a generation.

Eastern Alliance for Sustainable Learning

The Eastern Alliance for Sustainable Learning (EASL) was formed in 2011 to assist member councils in delivering joint sustainable learning initiatives across the Eastern region. The alliance provides the opportunity to deliver a range of programs typically beyond the reach of individual councils.

EASL aims to promote lifelong learning and action that improves the health, well-being and environmental sustainability of local communities.

Other Waste and Sustainability events

Council offers a range of free waste education initiatives including waste minimisation and recycling workshops, composting workshops, online webinars, waste and recycling competitions, and educational presentations for schools and community groups.
