A half basketball court is proposed to be installed at Ambrie Reserve in Ringwood.

Following consultation with the residents surrounding Ambrie Reserve in late 2022, Council received overwhelming positive feedback for the installation of a new half basketball court in Ambrie Reserve.

Council will now proceed with the installation. The half basketball court will be 12 metres in length and 6 metres in width, located approximately 2 metres from the existing pathway. A noise reduction backboard would also be installed, which is aimed at reducing noise to abutting neighbours. 

Installation is expected to occur within the 2022/2023 financial year, subject to contractor and materials availability.

As a result, Council is reviewing the request, and would like to hear from all residents surrounding Ambrie Reserve to seek their feedback before determining if the location and proposal is appropriate.
