The Federal Government has committed funding through the Roads to Recovery Program for the rehabilitation and upgrade of Yarra Road, Croydon North / Wonga Park, from Panorama Drive to Gatters Road.  Maroondah City Council has committed funding for the construction of footpaths on Yarra Road.

The works will include:

  • Installation of missing sections of kerb and channel between Panorama Drive and Gatters Road / Janson Court, including kerbing of the large central traffic island.
  • Drainage upgrades from the northern tip of the central traffic island, up Yarra Road to Gatters Road.
  • Asphalt resurfacing from Panorama Drive to Gatters Road.
  • Concrete footpath:
    • Western side of Yarra Road, from opposite Panorama Drive to Gatters Road.  Including side connection to Packham Place.
    • Eastern side, from north of Panorama Drive to Holloway Road.
