Amendment C155maro - Implementing the 2024 Planning Scheme Review

In February 2024 Council adopted its 2024 Planning Scheme Review. The review recommends a range of changes to the Maroondah Planning Scheme. It also makes recommendations about future strategic work, advocacy and process improvement.  Council is currently implementing the recommendations of the review. Amendment C155maro forms part of this implementation. 

Background

The Amendment proposes to update the Municipal Planning Strategy, Planning Policy Framework, planning scheme maps and local provisions in the Maroondah Planning Scheme to implement the 2024 Planning Scheme Review.

Current status and next steps

Amendment C155maro is undergoing public exhibition from 9 April to 10 May 2026.  

After completion of the exhibition period Council will consider any submissions received and determine whether or not to refer the amendment to an independent panel. In accordance with clause 4(2) of Ministerial Direction No. 15 the following panel hearing dates have been set for this amendment, should one be required:
