Tasa joined Council following a Countback by the Victorian Electoral Commission in July 2018. She is enjoying working with her fellow Councillors to represent the Wyreena Ward.

Tasa lives locally with her husband and their four children, who attend local primary schools, and she participates in a range of activities with local school and community groups. She is excited to have a more hands-on role in the community, and using her business experience and skills in her role as Councillor.

Tasa represents Council on the Eastern Regional Libraries Corporation, Maroondah Business Advisory Committee, Maroondah Partners in Community Wellbeing Committee and Victorian Local Government Women’s Charter.

Latest news from Cr Damante

In October this year, Maroondah had the pleasure of hosting the 2018 Australian Local Government Women’s Association Victoria Annual Conference at Realm.

The conference provided a great opportunity to showcase Maroondah to our counterparts from across Victoria. It was exciting to see Realm as the centrepiece for the event, as we are lucky to have such a versatile and community-focused facility right in the heart of our municipality. Visitors were also able to experience Ringwood Town Square and our extensive art and cultural offerings in the precinct.

The conference also provided an opportunity to network with other women in local government and learn how we can all be more effective leaders in our community. I look forward to putting my learnings into practice and work with the community on matters that are important to them. If you have anything you would like to discuss with me, please contact me or come and say hello next time you see me at an event.
