Tasa joined Council following a Countback by the Victorian Electoral Commission in July 2018. She is enjoying working with her fellow Councillors to represent the Wyreena Ward.

Tasa lives locally with her husband and their four children, who attend local primary schools, and she participates in a range of activities with local school and community groups. She is excited to have a more hands-on role in the community, and using her business experience and skills in her role as Councillor.

Tasa represents Council on the Eastern Regional Libraries Corporation, Maroondah Business Advisory Committee, Maroondah Partners in Community Wellbeing Committee and Victorian Local Government Women’s Charter.

It was wonderful to see so many members of the business community come together to celebrate last month’s Maroondah BizWeek 2019.

Now in its 19th year, BizWeek, is a major highlight on Maroondah’s business calendar, and this year proved no exception. Hundreds of the region’s business leaders and representatives attended over 40-plus workshops and activities held throughout the week.

I remember attending BizWeek many years ago as a new business owner myself, and I too discovered the benefits of attending these events which provide practical advice and tips on getting a business off the ground.

In addition to BizWeek, Council’s BizHub team at Realm also run a series of free and low-cost workshops and seminars throughout the year.

Whether you’re just starting out or want to expand your skill set, I encourage you to visit the BizHub website to check out the range of upcoming courses and activities.
