Notice of Intention to Sell Land - The Age - 15 August 2018

Maroondah City Council (Council), gives notice under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) of its intention to sell the land abutting the properties between 8 to 22 Hardy Crescent, Heathmont, 5/32 Waterloo Street, Heathmont and 42 Cuthbert Street, Heathmont, being part of the land contained in certificates of title volume 11942 folios 394 and 396 and shown numbered 1 to 9 on the plan below (Land).

The proposal is that Council sell each parcel of the Land shown delineated on the plan as a separate parcel (Parcel) to the respective adjoining owners, for a purchase price no less than the valuation of each Parcel, held by Council.

Any person may make a submission on Council’s proposal to sell the Land.

Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by Wednesday 12 September 2018. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be hand delivered to Council’s Service Centre at Braeside Avenue, Ringwood, or posted to the following address:

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose), or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.
