Dawn services will be held in Maroondah to commemorate the anniversary of the Gallipoli landings.
Ringwood RSL will commemorate Anzac Day with a dawn service on Thursday 25 April from 5.30am at the Ringwood Memorial Clocktower, Maroondah Highway, Ringwood.
Croydon RSL sub-branch will commemorate Anzac Day with a dawn service on Thursday 25 April from 5.45am at the Croydon War Memorial, James N Stevens Memorial Lawn at Civic Square, Croydon.
Mayor of Maroondah, Councillor Kylie Spears, encouraged the community to attend.
“Over a century later, with many conflicts occurring around the world, Anzac Day resonates more than ever, as we pause to reflect on the sacrifices of those who have bravely served our nation during wartime and of those who continue to serve around the world.
"I encourage Maroondah residents to spend a moment reflecting on these sacrifices and to attend a local service, if you can, to pay your respects,” Cr Spears said.
“Thank you to our veteran community for your service and all of the sacrifices you have made for us, our community and our country.”

Each year, a commemorative Anzac Day dawn service is held at Ringwood Memorial Clocktower, which is located near the corner of Wantirna Road and Maroondah Highway in Ringwood.
Did you know the Ringwood Memorial Clocktower was moved in 1967?
Conceived as a War Memorial after World War I, the clocktower’s original location was within the intersection of Maroondah Highway and Warrandyte Road.
The clocktower became an icon and, increasingly, a traffic hazard, so it was moved in the 1960s to the corner of Wantirna Road and Maroondah Highway to ease traffic congestion.
It was re-dedicated in December 1967.
