SWAT is an immersive experience for young people who are keen to become champions for change and raise their wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. SWAT will help you to uncover your strengths and use your skills to create meaningful change. Each year the SWAT program is open for a select number of Year 10 students from schools in Maroondah. If you're in year 10 but don't attend a school in Maroondah, please reach out to have a chat about participating in the program!

Over a period of 6 months, students will participate in:

  • The Summit – A one-day workshop to connect with the other participants
  • The Retreat – A two-night camp to identify personal and group strengths and start putting skills into practice
  • Project work – You will be supported to deliver a wellbeing project of your choice
  • Drop-in sessions - After the retreat you will be invited to attend optional monthly drop-in sessions to catch up with the other SWAT participants and workshop topics related to your project
  • Presentation evening – A celebration that highlights the achievements of everyone involved

Applications for the 2024 SWAT program have now closed!

SWAT is supported by the Victorian Government through the Engage! program.
