Oban Road, Ringwood North road rehabilitation

Council will be completing infrastructure improvement works along Oban Road between Terrigal Close and Athelstane Drive. These works are being done to address the reoccurring road pavement failure in that area, with the improvement works involving road pavement reconstruction.

The road pavement reconstruction works begin, involving removal, deepening, and strengthening of the road pavement.

Local traffic and school impacts

Due to the substantial works involved to complete the road pavement reconstruction, Oban Road between Terrigal Close and Athelstene Drive will be closed to through traffic from 13 May 2024 to 18 May 2024, with a detour route in place. Please plan your trips accordingly during this time. Council thanks the local community for their patience as these critical works are completed.

Bus route 271 impacts

During the full pavement reconstruction and subsequent road closure, (8) eight bus stops will be closed between Terrigal Close and Warrandyte Road.

Closed bus stops will include:

  • Terrigal Close/Oban Road
  • Oban Road/Terrigal Close
  • Lansell Close/Lockhart Road
  • North Ringwood Pre School/Lockhart Road
  • Park Hill Drive/Gold Smith Avenue
  • Gold Smith Avenue/Macy Grove
  • 18 Rosebank Avenue
  • Warrandyte Road/Rosebank Avenue

Passengers are advised to use the existing bus stops at:

  • Rosebank Avenue/Warrandyte Road (To Box Hill)
  • BraimtonClose/Athelstane Drive (To Box Hill)
  • Athelstane Reserve/Athelstane Drive (To Ringwood)
  • Wonga Rd/Warrandyte Road (To Ringwood)
