Council has completed construction of footpaths in Sunhill Avenue, Hendra Grove, Sang Court and Ambrie Avenue.

As part of Council’s commitment to the construction of footpaths in Maroondah to improve pedestrian access and safety, footpath is proposed to be constructed in the following locations:

  • Sunhill Avenue - northern side between Wonga Road & Hendra Grove
  • Hendra Grove - western side between the existing path in front of 3 Hendra Grove and the existing path in front of 25 Hendra Grove
  • Sang Court - northern side between Hendra Grove and the existing footpath in front of Ambrie Reserve; and
  • Ambrie Avenue - western side between Sang Court and the existing path in front of 5 Ambrie Avenue.

The works will include:

  • Reconstruction of several vehicle crossings along the extent of works to allow the concrete footpath to extend through the vehicle crossing at compliant grades.
  • Reconstruction of isolated sections of kerb and channel as required.
  • Removal of several trees of varying size as required to construct the footpath due to their significant root systems impacting the current nature strip.
