As part of Maroondah City Council’s annual road rehabilitation program, Seymour Street and Market Street have been identified for asphalt road resurfacing works. 

This type of road resurfacing consists of the application of asphalt, and is commonly utilised throughout the municipality to enhance the longevity of the road pavement and to provide a smoother trafficable surface. 

Following the works, Council will reinstate the existing line marking.

Works are scheduled to commence on Sunday 17 March 2024. Works will be undertaken as night-time works, with working hours between 7:30pm and 5:30am. It is anticipated that the works will be completed in approximately three (3) nights, subject to weather.

Access during the works

To facilitate a safe working environment for the contractor and the public, night-time road closures will be in place during the works.
