From Script to Screen: Filmmaking with Lily Lunder

Work together to plan, shoot, and edit a short film.

Whether you're into acting, directing, writing, or behind-the-scenes roles like camera and sound, there's something for everyone. In this hands-on program, you'll learn how to use professional gear, work as a crew, and bring an original story to life!

It all wraps up with a special premiere screening for friends and family to celebrate your work on the big screen.

The program is led by Lily Lunder, an award-winning filmmaker who started making films when she was just 6 years old. Her early work screened at festivals like ACMI’s Screen It and Tropfest Jr, and she's since studied Film & TV at the Victorian College of the Arts with her films a part of major festivals including Flickerfest, St Kilda, and Melbourne Women in Film Festival. Lily is passionate about fostering the next generation of young creatives and can’t wait to help you bring your stories to life!

This workshop is part of Imagine: Creative experiences for children, a playful program of workshops that encourage children to learn new skills while exploring nature and making art!

Workshop details

• 3 day school holiday intensive:
  • Monday 29 September: 10am to 4pm
  • Tuesday 30 September: 9.30am to 4.30pm
  • Wednesday 1 October: 10am to 4pm
• Venue: Wyreena Community Arts Centre (Studio 2), 13-23 Hull Road Croydon 3136
• Cost: $20 for three-day program | $0 Hardship
• For young people aged 9 to 14 years old
• Bookings are essential
