Learn foundation painting techniques.
This eight-week program will focus on foundational painting techniques and mentoring to support young people learning to paint. Students will learn about the versatile and quick drying medium of acrylic, practice colour mixing and basic brush strokes, and experiment with application techniques, such as stippling, dabbing, lifting, masking, and layering with a dry or wet brush. During the class, students will plan and develop their own landscape painting to complete and take home.
This workshop is part of Imagine: Creative experiences for children, a playful program of workshops that encourage primary school-aged children to learn new skills while exploring nature and making art!
