Imagine: Creative experiences for children

Imagine: creative experiences for children Primary school-aged children are invited to get creative with Maroondah’s playful program of art experiences that encourage learning new skills, exploring nature and making art!

Imagine: Creative experiences for children aims to increase opportunities for children to creatively develop their skills beyond school and reduce barriers that may prevent children from participating in creative events. Arts and cultural engagement has been shown to result in better health outcomes such as enhanced self-esteem, building social and intellectual skills, and preparing children for the future - both socially and in terms of career opportunities.

This low-cost program was designed using ideas inspired through children’s consultation sessions. Many of the experiences focus on nature, environment and community. Children attending Imagine: creative experiences for children will learn creative skills, make new connections, have fun and broaden their skillsets.
