Celebrate Maroondah - Movie Night - Raya and the Last Dragon

This Celebrate Maroondah event was held in February 2024.

We are hosting another series of Celebrate Maroondah events at a variety of locations throughout City of Maroondah in February and March. Our first of three events is an outdoor movie night at Wyreena Community Centre and will coincide with Lunar New Year celebrations.

Come along to meet your Wicklow Ward Councillor and enjoy free entertainment while celebrating Maroondah. There will be kids activities and a lion dance before the movie. There will also be ice cream, coffee and snacks for purchase from The Conservatory Café during pre-show entertainment. You may also like to bring a picnic hamper to enjoy through the movie!

This event is free to attend and no bookings are required.

Time: Activities from 6.30pm for an approximately 8.15pm movie start

What to bring

Please bring:

picnic rug
chair (low back only)
sunscreen
reusable water bottle
appropriate clothing for the weather
and a torch.

Please do not bring tents, marquees or your pets.

Food and drinks

Bring along a picnic hamper and dine on the lawns.

Ice cream, coffee and snacks available for purchase from The Conservatory Café. Please note, The Conservatory Café will close when the film commences.

Please help minimise waste by bringing your own re-usable drink bottles and food containers. Please take all waste with you.
