Will Mitchell, from BirdLife Australia and local resident, will help you discover and learn about local birds living in Maroondah.

This is one of two nature discovery activities being held in Maroondah designed to encourage participation in the 2024 City Nature Challenge from Friday 26 April to Monday 29 April.

Discover some of the wild plants, animals and fungi that are found in and around Maroondah.

Come prepared with the iNaturalist app downloaded on your smartphone so your observations can be counted towards Maroondah’s statistics in the challenge.

Please note you may be walking on uneven ground and encounter stinging or biting insects or tripping hazards such as fallen branches and potholes. Please stick to the trails.

This event is subject to weather forecast eg: heavy rain, strong winds or thunderstorms may result in the event being cancelled.
