Run Maroondah 2021 has been postponed until further notice.

Due to ongoing restrictions, Run Maroondah 2021 has been postponed. All registered participants will be able to carry over their registration to the new date, or you will be offered full refund.

Hosted by Maroondah City Council, the aim of Run Maroondah is to encourage individuals and families to take part in physical activity together and have fun while doing it!

Run Maroondah is all about challenging yourself within a supportive environment - whether that means taking on the 10km run, 5km run/walk or even the kids 1.2km race.

This event is designed for all ages and athletic abilities. Runners and walkers are welcome to join us for an active morning discovering the tracks and surrounds of HE Parker Reserve - Heathmont.

Entry includes finisher's ribbon and healthy refreshments.

Entry fees


Participants running as an individual must be 12 years or older.

  • 10km - $30 (Concession $25)
  • 5km - $25 (Concession $20)


At least 1 participant per family group must be 18 or older.  Family entry = minimum 1 adult and 1 child, maximum 4 people including one adult - extra participants $10 each. 

  • 5km Run/Walk - $55 (up to 4 participants)
  • Additional Family Entry: $10 per person


  •  1.2km Dash - $15 per child (under 14 years)

Note: Children in prams not actively participating in the race are not required to pay to enter.

Race times

  • 10km and 15km - 8am
  • Kids run event - 8.10am
  • 5km run/walk - 8.30am

Race bib collection

Run Maroondah race bibs will be available for collection from Active Feet- 129 Canterbury Road, Heathmont.

Once you have registered for the event a confirmation email will be sent with your collection time.

If you cannot make it to Active Feet, Heathmont you can collect your bib at the event from 7.30am at the registration tent

What to bring

  • Running shoes. Shoes must cover your feet no sandals/thongs
  • Sun screen and a hat or a cap
  • Bottle of water
  • Warm clothes for after the event
  • Medication if required
  • Please label all of your items and do not bring any valuables.

Race map

The 1.2 km will start at HE Parker reserve run a short distance along the Dandenong Creek Trail and finish with a lap of HE Parker Oval number 2.

The 5km and 10km will also start at HE Parker Reserve in Heathmont and run along the Dandenong Creek Trail finishing on HE Parker Oval number 2.

Personal belongings

It is strongly advised not to bring any valuables or belongings to Run Maroondah  as there is no storage area and Council does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to items/property. A bag drop will be available for jackets and jumpers.


There will be toilets available at the HE Parker Scout Hall (near the oval) . There will also be some portable toilets in the carpark.


Accessible parking available at H.E Parker Reserve. Parking will be limited and we strongly encourage families and groups to carpool where possible.


Heathmont railway station is located on the Belgrave line in Victoria, Australia. Heathmont railway station is situated 1½ km northwest of H.E Parker Reserve. 

Race Rules

A few race rules to remember: 

  • To ensure your time is recorded please run/walk over the start timing pad and end timing pad.
  • Please be aware of other runners, walkers and prams and keep a COVID safe distance at all times.
  • Whilst running or walking, if you are experiencing any difficulties and would like assistance, please signal for assistance.
  • Participants are encouraged to stop and render assistance in the case of an accident/incident. Report any accident/incident to the nearest Track marshal and they will call for assistance.
  • Track marshals are located around the course. All marshals are wearing a fluoro vest. You must obey all directions from the track marshals. 


This is a COVID safe event.

  • Each participant is asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine. You can find the self-assessment questions on the registration page. 
  • Participants must always carry a face mask with you, unless you have a lawful reason not to. It is strongly recommended you wear one whenever you cannot keep 1.5 metres distance from others. 
  • Participants must maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between those from other groups at all times.
  • To minimise movement, attendees must stay within their allocated spaces/groups where practical.
