Council has completed works to create a new dog park at Parkwood in Ringwood North.

Council has received funding from the Victorian Government's Local Parks Program to design and build this off leash dog park.

Works have commenced and construction is expected to be finished by July.

The dog park will be fully enclosed and will include:

  • a digging pit area
  • tree and landscaping areas
  • dog education/training items
  • dry creek bed for sensory play
  • perimeter walking/jogging track
  • water/drinking area
  • rock clamber mound for sensory play
  • natural elements such as logs, mulch and sand.

Concept plan

Community consultation took place from 15 December 2021 to 10 January 2022, and included three face-to-face on site sessions.

From the feedback received we have completed the final design and concept plan.
