Fees and charges

The fee to extend an Asset Protection Permit is charged at half the current applicable permit fee and must be paid before an Asset Protection Permit extension has been granted. 

The Asset Protection Permit bond will be retained until the works are complete. Council may require an additional bond be paid as part of a request to extend an Asset Protection Permit, if the extent of damage or nature of works justifies this.

Engineering subdivision fees

For land subdivisions where certain works become the responsibility of Council (such as roads, drainage, footpath or water sensitive urban design elements) the developer must submit a cost estimate of the works to Council.

In accordance with the Subdivision Act the fees for checking the engineering plans shall be 0.75% of the estimated cost of construction, and will generally be reflected on the planning permit.

Under the same Act, fees for supervising the works shall be 2.5% of the estimated cost of construction, and will generally be reflected on the planning permit.

Engineering plan checking fee

The fee for checking engineering plans for all developments other than subdivisons will be based upon the size of the development.

Amendments to Endorsed Plans

When an applicant/consultant/contractor requires minor amendments to a previously Endorsed Engineering Plan or Endorsed Construction Management Plan, Council will charge an amendment fee (the statutory fee for secondary consents).

Vehicle Crossing Consent

Written Council consent is always required before a permit can be issued to repair, modify, relocate, reconstruct, or construct an additional vehicle crossing.

Vehicle Crossing Permit

A Vehicle Crossing Permit is always required to repair, modify, relocate, reconstruct, or construct an additional vehicle crossing, or to undertake footpath or kerb and channel works. Before a permit can be issued, Vehicle Crossing Consent is always required.

Construction Zone Permit

Builders and contractors can obtain a Construction Zone Permit to occupy part of the road reservation to facilitate the completion of construction works.

Temporary Traffic Management Permit

Builders and contractors planning to undertake works on Council-owned roads, footpaths or naturestrips are required to have a Temporary Traffic Management Permit before works commence.

Ringwood Activities Area visitor parking vouchers

A maximum of 1 booklet per property per month. Each booklet contain 12x 4-hour vouchers and 6x daily vouchers.

Builder/Contractor Parking Permit

A maximum of 5 permits can be purchased for a maximum of 13 weeks.

Croydon Traders Parking Permits

Croydon traders can purchase a maximum of 4 parking permits per business for use among staff.

Class 1 - Amendment to a permit to change the use allowed by the permit or allow a new use of land

Single dwelling

Development or use & development for a single dwelling on a lot including additions/alterations or ancillary development (shed, carport, deck etc.)

All other development

Development (other than single dwelling on a lot with an estimated cost of development of less than $2M), includes: multi dwellings, signage, factory, warehouse, apartment building etc.

Subdivision

Excludes VicSmart applications.

Combined planning permit applications

Fee will be calculated off the highest of the applicable fees plus 50% of each of any other applicable statutory planning fees.

Application to amend a permit (other than a permit to develop land for single dwelling on a lot with an original estimated cost of development of less than $2M)

Section 57A - Amendment to an existing application after advertising

Fee will be calculated from 40% of the application fee for the applicable class of permit + where an increase to the estimated cost of the development results in a change to the application class, the balance of the application fee resulting from the change.

120L Residential waste service

This service includes the following:

• 1x 120 litre General waste bin and collection
• 1x 240 litre Recyclables bin and collection
• 1x 240 litre FOGO bin and service
• 2x Hard waste collections

80L Residential waste service

This service is perfect for a low waste household. Residents can save $80 per year if they swap from a 120 litre bin to an 80 litre general waste bin. The charge is pro-rata if you change your service during the financial year. Please contact Council on 1300 88 22 33 to arrange a downsize.

This service includes the following:

• 1x 80 litre General waste bin and collection
• 1x 240 litre Recyclables bin and collection
• 1x 240 litre FOGO bin and service
• 2x Hard waste collections
