Amendment C144maro - Translation of planning policy to new content
The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C144maro to the Maroondah Planning Scheme. The Amendment came into operation on 14 November 2023.
The amendment is a neutral translation of Maroondah’s local policy content into the format introduced by Amendment VC148 to planning schemes across Victoria. The translation was prepared jointly by Council and Department of Transport and Planning staff. It replaces:
- The Local Planning Policy Framework of the Maroondah Planning Scheme with a new Municipal Planning Strategy at Clause 02.
- Local policies within the Planning Policy Framework at Clauses 11 to 19.
- Selected local schedules.
Public exhibition was not required as the amendment did not seek to change planning policy or application requirements.
A copy of the Amendment can be inspected free of charge at the Department of Transport and Planning website, or by attending Council's offices during office hours at 179 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood.
