In 2026, The Arts Lounge at Wyreena is celebrating the creativity of our community, with two exhibitions featuring work from our students and tutors.

From May to July, the first exhibition will feature work from our tutors and adult students. From students who have just started learning their craft, to seasoned professionals who have been part of Wyreena’s story for many years, all of these artists are dedicated to learning, growing, and being part of the special Wyreena community.

Featuring dozens of works across both rooms of the gallery, this exhibition showcases the breadth of talent amongst Wyreena’s adult students. Sharing their work in mediums including watercolour, acrylic, mixed media and ceramics, these pieces explore a variety of themes and showcase artists at all stages of their creative practice.

Also included in this exhibition is work from Wyreena’s wonderful tutors. The lifeblood of Wyreena, our tutors are dedicated and skilled, not just to their arts practice, but to the practice of teaching. This exhibition offers viewers an opportunity to see their work alongside their students, reflecting on the shared creative journey, the influences and the intersections when artists create work as part of a community.
