Anxious about Artificial Intelligence? Using it, loving it, hating it, all at the same time? Discover how AI can support your creative work without replacing what makes it uniquely yours.

Creative’s Guide to AI is a practical, hands-on, online workshop that focuses on using these tools to reduce repetitive admin and drudge work while maintaining and showcasing your irreplaceable human story and self. Explore how you can use AI to build a sustainable creative business, manage your time and resources, and support making your work.

Participants will learn the following, with a focus on arts practice and creative industries:

  • Understanding the differences between the of major AI platforms
  • The basic glossary of terms, and how to perfect the art of the ‘prompt’
  • 'Teaching’ Your AI, with practical demonstrations, tips and tricks
  • Developing concrete strategies to use AI for business admin, financial support, marketing, social media, and more - including human oversight
  • Understanding the legal, moral, and environmental impact of AI - Canva
  • Why irreplaceable human qualities are your greatest assets in an AI world.

Online workshop details

  • Date: Thursday 8 October 2026
  • Time: 6pm to 8pm
  • Venue: Online via Zoom. Link will be provided prior to the workshop.
  • Presenter: Creative Plus Business
  • Cost: $8 per person.
  • Suitable for: Ages 18 years and over
  • Registrations are essential
