The Mayoral Art Exhibition is an annual fundraiser in support of the Bone Marrow Donor Institute, now part of Fight Cancer.
The theme for the 2024 exhibit was Tangent.
Artists were encouraged to think differently and experiment with their subjects, materials or techniques. From realism to abstraction or traditional to contemporary (or the reverse) they were invited to investigate new ideas and directions.
This is an acquisitive exhibition and the Mayor of Maroondah and Ringwood East and Croydon Community Bank announced the chosen works at the exhibition launch. The Mayoral acquisitions became part of the Maroondah City Art Collection.
